BEAUTIFUL MUSIC DISCOVERIES 5/27/11: RAINY DAY SPECIAL

Transmitting live from a rainy and cold spring afternoon here in Lowertown, St. Paul.  I just discovered two new musical gems I would like to share, especially because they sound just like how this day look and feels here.  From progressive seventies country to Peruvian psych rock boys doin' their version of lovers' rock, I present today's beautiful music discoveries.

I found both of these jams after googling into some unknown music I was hearing on a Parisian house record label dude's mix of all places.

The mix is by the dude who runs "My Love is Underground", which is a deep 90s style house record label in Paris.  Here is the mix ("Beauty Pt. 2") with my selected tracks buried within:

Underground Paris - Beauty Pt.2 by Underground Paris

The songs I like most are as follows:

1.) Rusty Wier- "Silly Rhymes"

Rusty was a dude who lived and played in Austin, Texas throughout his career.  He died in 2009.  He's kind of an under the radar dude, so learning about this via a Parisian house dude's mix was kind of convoluted.  Please enjoy this BEAUTIFUL gem.

2.) TELEGRAPH AVENUE-"Happy"

These Peruvian hippy boys knock it out the park on this one!  If I am happy, well...nobody is able to tell me I am wrong!  Love this jam.  Again, please mellow out and enjoy wherever you may be.
