Vinyl Finds: Friday 5.6.11 & Sunday 5.8.11- St. Paul and Minneapolis

Before Blogger deleted all my old posts, I wrote quite a bit about this pile of records I found.  I just can't do it again.  Siiiiiiiigh.

I will say, the NY Sleeze 12" is rare boogie funk which includes a cool version of the BT Express Classic "Do it Til You're Satisfied" and sells for about a bill.

The Scientist of Soul 45 on Kashe is some cool Northern Soul business with a ballad on the flip.

Afro Latin Soul Tet is one of my favorite records and I was hyped to find a second copy at Electric Fetus in Minneapolis for 3 bucks.  Excellent Latin soul groovers.

The Chakachas album is some weird "Especial" pressing.  Good straight ahead latin soul and salsa record which includes the all time classic sex jam "Jungle Fever"

The Black Jazz label albums will be added to the mini-discography I have going here.  Spring Rain is enjoyable stuff, Adam's Apple is my second copy.  Hyped to find both for just a few bucks at Hymie's in Minneapolis.

The Friends and Co. label 45 contains some cool Greg Carmichael lead discofunk dance business.

Finally, that "African Boog-a-Loo" 45 is great dancin' soul stuff that I found at the Co-op in South minneapolis for a few bucks.  The flip is tasty too!

I also found a bunch of 80s and italo 12"s and common 45s that I won't bore you with.  Let's just say I still don't know how I feel about the group "Doctor's Cat".  All in all, a good weekend for some local diggin'!

Back with more next time.
